Janice is a dual qualified and practising lawyer in Malaysia and Hong Kong, with 17 years of experience in cross-border dispute resolution and commercial law. Having spent over a decade in Hong Kong advising clients from the Asia Pacific, she understands the advantages and pain points of doing business in the region, while acknowledging market and cultural differences. Well-connected with legal and corporate professionals in the Greater China region, ASEAN, UK, Europe and US, Janice advises extensively on cross-border matters, with particular focus on major mergers & acquisitions, joint ventures and commercial litigation.

Oversaw the incorporation of private equity funds in the Cayman Islands for Malaysian investors, including reviewing and negotiating the Confidential Memorandum and Subscription Agreement

Dispute Resolution

Advised on a cross-border case at the High Court of Hong Kong in relation to a commercial dispute concerning breach of contract and fiduciary trust with a sum of over AUD15 million.

Represented high-net-worth individuals and investment companies in a case at the High Court of Hong Kong in relation to a disputed sum of over USD5 million.

Represented in a case at the High Court of Hong Kong concerning redemption of shares in a fund with a disputed sum of over USD5.5 million.

Acted for a prominent Malaysian individual at the High Court and Court of Final Appeal of Hong Kong involving the issues of non-conveniens, conspiracy and misrepresentation with a disputed amount of around HK$40 million.
